Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting - Case Study
In 2022, while working for the Crossroads of America Council - Boy Scouts of America, I led marketing efforts and event planning for the Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting at Lucas Oil Stadium. This fundraiser was the largest annual fundraiser for the non-profit and the largest of its kind across all BSA Councils in the nation.
My tasks included pre-event communications, social media strategy, marketing content creation, sponsorship/donor collateral creation, video creation to play during the event, run-of-show and script development, volunteer coordination for photo and video capture during the event, vendor coordination for event planning (parking, venue, food service, logistics) and day-of video production (for the jumbotron), and media relations with our media partners (Circle City Broadcasting, WISH-TV 8, and Radio One). Post-event, I was responsible for donor thank-you communications, post-event social media, and creating a recap video.
I coordinated all these tasks from August until the event on December 14, 2022 with the support of a Marketing Coordinator and 4-5 volunteers from the organization that provided support at my direction.
The event successfully raised over $1.15 Million.
